If you will graduate or are planning to discontinue studying at BYU–Hawaii and return to your home country after the Winter 2024 Semester, and you paid the international processing fee when you were accepted to BYU–Hawaii, submit the Travel Request to Return Home form. A return airfare will be arranged for you.
Please, allow a 30-day processing time from when you submit your request and the departure date.
Questions? Contact iwork@byuh.edu or (808) 675-3720.

Payment Deadline Winter 2024 Semester

The payment deadline for Winter 2024 charges and past-due balances is Friday, April 19. Spring 2024 charges will be due Friday, June 28.

If you still have a balance after this deadline, a restriction (hold) will be placed on your student account that will prevent you from adding and dropping classes until the balance has been cleared with Financial Services. Your classes for Spring 2024 will be canceled if you are enrolled. If you will not be attending this semester, please click on the discontinue link by logging in to Student Center or visit the Office of the Registrar to discontinue properly from school. The Dates and Deadlines table above has more information to remember. Questions? Contact financialservices@byuh.edu or (808) 675-3706.

Important Financial Aid Information

All students who anticipate receiving federal aid CANNOT take 50% or more of their credits in online classes. Doing this will make you ineligible for federal aid.

All students who anticipate receiving scholarships provided through BYU–Hawaii must be registered for a minimum of 12 credits (fall/winter) or eight credits (spring) in order to receive their scholarships. If you have any questions, contact us at (808) 675-3316 or at financialaid@byuh.edu.

IWORK and Hukilau Participant Employment Deadlines

Effective January 1, 2023, all students in the IWORK or Hukilau programs must secure a job with BYU–Hawaii (BYUH) or the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) by the third Wednesday after classes begin.

The PCC has the first opportunity to hire students in the IWORK program. Those not selected by the PCC must find employment at BYUH.

Any students in the IWORK or Hukilau programs still not employed by BYUH or the PCC by the second Wednesday after classes begin are required to meet with an IWORK, financial aid, or student employment counselor within 48 hours. Counselors will help students to find a job. When students meet with a counselor, they should come prepared to explain what they have done to find a job and the problems they have encountered.

Those who fail to meet with a counselor and secure a job by the third Wednesday after classes begin will no longer be eligible for IWORK or Hukilau funding.
