This guide will help you with the next steps that need to be taken care of before your arrival to campus.
Admitted Checklist
  • Read your admissions letter carefully AND confirm your intent to enroll with the Admissions Office
  • If you are planning on deferring admissions, visit the Admissions Office website
  • Activate your campus student email address. All university communications are sent to your BYUH email account, so be sure to check it often and submit requested information in a timely manner
  • Complete a FAFSA at if you are interested in need-based grants and loans
  • Check your financial aid status on your Student Account at mybyuh, if you already completed the FAFSA. Follow up in a timely manner on any requests from the Financial Aid Office
  • Submit all verification paperwork if selected

  • Accept loans if you are eligible for them on your Student Account at mybyuh.
  • Visit to complete a Loan Agreement (MPN) AND an Entrance Counseling -- this step may not be needed if you are a transferred student and accepted loans at a previous campus
  • If you are receiving a scholarship outside of BYU–Hawaii, please have the donor send the check to our office. It helps to have your student ID# or other identifiable information on the check (notes section). The address to use is, Attn: Financial Aid Office, 55-220 Kulanui Street, #1955, Laie, HI 96762
  • Returned Missionary Voucher. You may be eligible for this scholarship. Please visit the New Student Scholarships page.
  • Sign a FERPA Waiver to give us permission to discuss your Student Account financial information with the individuals of your choice.
