Onboarding Fees

    Single Students Pre-Campus Fees
    These fees are not included in the IWORK program

    • $35 BeSmart.com application fee per student, a one-time fee
    • $220 SEVIS fee for each student (no cost for non-student spouse and children)
    • VISA application fees (to be paid in your country)
    • $10 embassy fee $10 to schedule an interview, plus the cost of travel, lodging, meals, etc. to and from the embassy
    • $500-$1,000 airline ticket not including lodging and meals due to layover
    • $50 for a housing application fee
    • $200 ($100 per immunization) for MMR I and MMR 2 if immunizations are needed
    • Annual Family contribution* ($600-$7,500 per student)

    Married Students Pre-Campus Fees

    • $35* BeSmart.com application fee per student, a one-time fee.
    • $500* international processing fee for each member of the family (i.e., a family of four = $2000)
    • $6000 non-student spouse (to be deposited into BYUH student account prior to arrival on campus)
    • $220* SEVIS fee for each student (no cost for non-student spouse and children)
    • VISA application fee (to be paid in your country)
    • $10 embassy fee $10 to schedule an interview, plus the cost of travel, lodging, meals, etc. to and from the embassy
    • $500-$1,000* airline ticket not including lodging and meals due to layover
    • $50* Temple View Apartment (TVA) housing fee application fee
    • $300* security fee for TVA
    • $200 ($100 per immunization) for MMR I and MMR II if immunizations are needed
    • $380 non-student work permit (EAD card)
    • Annual family contribution* ($600-$7,500 per student)
    *Minimum cost for a married couple (both students) with no children: $4000
    **Minimum cost for a married couple (one non-student) with no children: $10,380
    ****These estimates are based on minimum airfare, (no lodging or meals) and minimum family contribution

    On-Campus Fees

    • $500 or more recommended in cash for school supplies, food, etc. upon arrival
    • Student Medical Benefit: as long as the student is a full-time student, the spouse and child/children are covered. If a student is on Internship or LOA in the U.S.A. family Student Medical Benefit is $205 per month. In addition, all students pay the following fees for services:
      • $10.00 for each visit to the Health Center
      • 30% of the total cost of any medication
      • 20% co-pay for medical services up to $2,000 per year.
      • Pre-existing medical conditions are not covered including pregnancies
